Managing Payment settings

Enable online and/or in-person payments to give customers the ability to pay for orders placed via Order Anywhere. Online payments allow customers to pay from mobile device, tablet, or computer using a credit or debit card (Lightspeed Payments or Stripe) or using Google Pay, Bancontact, or iDEAL (Lightspeed Payments only). In-person payments allow customers to pay at the POS when they pick up their order or finish dining at the restaurant.

Enable Scan and Pay to allow customers to pay for table orders placed via Order Anywhere by scanning the QR code attached to their respective table after they finish eating.

Important: For customers to place orders via Order Anywhere, you must enable online payments, in-person payments, or both.

Enabling online payments

With online payments, customers can pay for Order Anywhere orders from a mobile device, tablet, or computer using a credit or debit card (Lightspeed Payments and Stripe) or using Google Pay, Bancontact, or iDEAL (Lightspeed Payments only).

Online payments are processed through either Lightspeed Payments or a third-party integration with Stripe based on how you set them up in the Order Anywhere Back Office.

Important: Bancontact and iDEAL are not yet available but will be coming soon in July 2022. These payment options will only be available in Belgium and the Netherlands through Lightspeed Payments.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office. For help, visit the First login article.
  2. Verify all business and address information on the My account page is correct.

  3. Click Settings on the navigation bar.
  4. Select Payment settings.
  5. Select the Lightspeed Payments or Stripe button below in this article, then follow the remaining steps to connect your chosen payment processor.

    Lightspeed Payments

    With Lightspeed Payments, customers can pay online with a credit or debit card, Google Pay, Bancontact, or iDEAL.

    Important: Bancontact and iDEAL are not yet available but will be coming soon in July 2022. These payment options will only be available in Belgium and the Netherlands through Lightspeed Payments.

    1. If you have an existing Lightspeed Payments account, toggle the switch next to Lightspeed Payments to enable it.

    2. If you do not have an existing Lightspeed Payments account, click Learn more. On the pop-up, select Ask for a quote to have our team contact you about signing up for Lightspeed Payments.

      Note: Lightspeed Payments is not available in Luxembourg, Italy, and Spain.

    3. Click Save to save changes.
    4. Enable the Online payments setting on a profile to add online payments as an option for that profile.

      For help creating a new profile, visit the Managing My profiles article. To edit an existing profile, click its name on the My profiles page.

    Stripe

    With Stripe, customers can pay online with a debit or credit card. To offer Google Pay, Bancontact, and iDEAL, use Lightspeed Payments instead.

    1. Click Connect to Stripe.

    2. Follow the prompts to set up a new or existing Stripe account with Order Anywhere. You will need the following information:
      • Account number for the bank account where you want to receive online payment deposits
      • Name of the bank account holder
      • VAT or tax ID number for your business
    3. Back on the Payment settings page, toggle Stripe on.
    4. Click Save to save changes.
    5. Enable the Online payments setting on a profile to add online payments as an option for that profile.

      For help creating a new profile, visit the Managing My profiles article. To edit an existing profile, click its name on the My profiles page.

Enabling in-person payments

With in-person payments, customers can pay for Order Anywhere orders in person at the POS using cash, a credit or debit card, or a gift card. For Pickup profiles, customers pay when they pick up their order. For Table profiles, customers pay after they finish their meal.

Important: In-person payments may result in losses if customers place orders but don't pick them up or pay at the POS. By activating this feature, you acknowledge and take responsibility for this potential risk.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office. For help, see First login.
  2. Click Settings on the navigation bar.
  3. Select Payment settings.
  4. Toggle Allow customers to pay in person on.

  5. Review the message, then select Activate to confirm.

  6. Click Save to save changes.
  7. Enable the In-person payments setting on a profile to add in-person payments as an option for that profile.

Enabling Scan and Pay

Scan and Pay allows customers to pay for table orders placed via Order Anywhere by scanning the QR code attached to their specific table after eating. From their mobile device, customers can pay by debit or credit card, split the bill with others, and receive an email receipt. By enabling Scan and Pay, you’ll increase table turnover and guest satisfaction because customers won't need to wait for a server to pay their bill.

Important: Before enabling Scan and Pay, you first must enable online payments. Visit the Enabling online payments section to learn how.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office. For help, see First login.
  2. Click Settings on the navigation bar.
  3. Select Payment settings.
  4. Toggle Allow customers to scan and pay on.
  5. Click Save to save changes.
