Lightspeed Restaurant (K) users are considered to be anyone within your organization that will be using the system with regularity.
With Lightspeed Restaurant K-Series, POS users can be assigned to a POS user group. User groups allow you to easily manage various POS user permissions. User permissions are settings determined from the Back Office that determine user functions, such as access to the POS ordering screens, elevated ordering settings or reports. User groups also save time. Instead of manually adjusting permissions for each user, you can simply assign a user group and its associated permissions, such as “manager” or “bartender.”
On the Back Office, there are two main types of users, and each type can have specific permissions or user groups:
- POS users: Refers to all permissions in the K Series App.
- Backoffice users: Refers to all permissions on the Back Office.
Once you have users in your system clocking in and out of the POS app, access the Hours section of the Back Office for an overview of all POS user shifts.
