Hi. How can we help?

Using the Order Display Screen

After setting up the Order Display Screen (ODS), learn how to start the ODS app on the Apple TV, manage the orders that appear on the ODS, and customize ODS app settings, such as the colors and text displayed.

Starting the Lightspeed ODS app

Start the Lightspeed ODS app on the Apple TV to prepare it to display orders processed on POS devices in the Lightspeed Restaurant POS app.

  1. On the Apple TV, click the Lightspeed ODS app on the home screen to open it.
  2. Select Start to open the ODS screen that will display incoming orders.
To learn how to process orders so they will appear on the screen, see Managing ODS orders.

Managing ODS orders

Add new orders to the Lightspeed ODS by applying the order profile created during ODS setup to orders in the Restaurant POS app. New orders will appear in the Preparing section of the ODS. Orders can be moved to the Ready for pickup section or removed from the board as needed by managing them in the POS app or on a Lightspeed Kitchen Display System (KDS).

The Lightspeed ODS app must be started before orders can be displayed. To learn more, see Starting the Lightspeed ODS app.

  1. In the Restaurant POS app, start a new order in Direct Sale mode.
  2. Tap the order tag icon, then select the ODS account profile previously created in the Back Office to apply it to the order.
To skip this step in the future, modify the account profile in the Back Office to apply it automatically based on a certain schedule or device profile.

The order number also appears as the Collection Code on the Orders list and production tickets.
  4. Tap Pay and process payment for the order as usual. The order number will appear on the left side (Preparing) of the ODS. Click the images below to enlarge.
