The Vault Pro iPad stand offers a sleek design, which protects your device while providing an amazing user-experience. To set up the Vault Pro iPad stand, insert your iPad into the stand, route your Lightning to USB cable through the wire management system, and attach the STABILITY rotation base.
What you'll need
- Your iPad
- The Vault Pro iPad stand
- A Lightning to USB cable
- The STABILITY rotation base
- An Allen key (included with the Vault Pro iPad stand)
Inserting your iPad into the Vault Pro iPad stand
To insert your iPad into the Vault Pro iPad stand:
- Position the stand so the enclosure is facedown.
- Remove the four corner screws from the back of the enclosure.
- Separate the back piece of the enclosure from the front piece of the enclosure.
- Insert your iPad into the front piece of the enclosure so that the iPad’s charging port faces the enclosure’s opening and the screen faces the front of the stand.
- Reattach the back piece of the enclosure to the front piece of the enclosure.
The long slit should reveal your iPad’s camera, and the short slit should reveal its charging port. - Screw the four corner screws back into the enclosure.
Once you've inserted your iPad into the Vault Pro iPad stand, you’re ready to route a Lightning to USB cable through it.
Routing a Lightning to USB cable through the Vault Pro iPad stand
The wire management system of the Vault Pro iPad stand provides a more polished look when charging your iPad or connecting it to a USB-compatible receipt printer.
To route a Lightning to USB cable through the Vault Pro iPad stand:
- Place the iPad stand with the base facing towards the left and the iPad screen facing towards the right.
- Lift the bottom of the wire management cover upwards.
- Place the iPad stand with the iPad screen facing down and the base now facing towards the right.
- Remove the top wire management cover from the mounting plate by pulling it towards the right.
- Connect the Lightning to USB cable to the charging port of your iPad.
- Route the Lightning to USB cable through the opening on the side of the top wire management cover.
- Center the Lightning to USB cable through the top opening of the wire management cover.
- Install the top wire management cover back onto the mounting plate by pushing it towards the left.
- Place the iPad stand with the base facing towards the left and the iPad screen facing towards the right again.
- Connect the bottom wire management cover to the top wire management cover.
- Route the Lightning to USB cable through the opening on the side of the bottom wire management cover.
If your countertop has a hole for wire management, then you can route the cable through the bottom of the base instead.
- Push down on the bottom wire management cover until it snaps into place.
Once you’ve routed a Lightning to USB cable through the Vault Pro iPad stand, you’re ready to set up the Vault STABILITY rotation base.
Attaching the Vault STABILITY rotation base
The Vault STABILITY rotation base gives you the ability to rotate your iPad stand up to 180 degrees, so that your customers and employees can easily interact with the POS screen from multiple angles.
To attach the Vault STABILITY rotation base:
- Lay down the rotation base.
- Unscrew the top cap using the Allen key provided.
- Remove the base clip (metal ring) from the center of the rotation base, and set to the side.
- Place your iPad stand into the rotation base so that the clip of the stand matches up with how you want it to rotate.
The opening of the rotation base is surrounded by a ring, which is raised on one side (depicted as red in the images). Depending on how you attach the rotation base to your iPad stand, it will allow for -90 to 90 degrees, or 180 degrees clockwise, or 180 degrees counterclockwise rotation.
- Place the base clip on the center of the rotation base to secure the iPad stand.
- Reattach the top cap to the rotation base.
- Tighten the top cap with the Allen key.
Once you’ve finished setting up the Vault STABILITY rotation base, your iPad is ready for business.
