Adding rules

As of June 2023, the legacy Stock feature is no longer available to new customers. Existing customers who currently use the feature will still have access to it.

If you're interested in managing your inventory, we recommend exploring our Inventory add-on. Get in touch with your account manager or contact us to discuss whether this add-on could benefit your business.

Add stock notifications from the Stock Rules page for your Stock levels. When a rule is created, you can specify certain actions to be taken when the rule is fulfilled.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Stock > Rules > Rules editor.
  2. Click the Add a new rule button.
  3. Define the rule settings, then select Save.Restaurant-BO-Add-Stock-Rule.png
  4. Select the Add an action button for the created rule.
  5. Define the action settings, then select Save.
  6. Optional: To add several actions to one rule, repeat steps 4 and 5.Restaurant-BO-Add-Stock-Rule-Action.png

 

Rule settings

Change the rule options by selecting the words highlighted in blue and selecting the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.

Setting name Description
Any Stock This rule will apply to all stock locations. If you want this rule to apply only to one particular stock, select Any Stock, enter the stock's name in the entry field, and choose it from the dropdown menu.
Any Product This rule will apply to all items. If you want this rule to apply only to a particular item, select Any Product, enter the item’s name in the entry field, and select it from the dropdown menu.
1 The number of product units that must be undercut for the rule to take effect. To change this number, select 1 and enter the new number in the entry field.

 

Action settings

Change the action settings by selecting the words highlighted in blue and selecting the appropriate option from the dropdown menu. Once you’ve selected the first option, a second option will appear.

Send an alert by email An email will be sent as soon as the rule is fulfilled to all the members defined in the Second option. New mail distribution list Only members of the distribution list receive the email. All mail distribution lists created in the Back Office are available for selection. See Understanding mail distribution list for detailed information. If you would like to create a new distribution list, enter the name in the entry field and select the checkmark button. The New mail distribution list window will appear where you can enter Names and email addresses.
Include an email report An email report is sent as soon as the rule is fulfilled to all the members defined in the Second option. New mail distribution list Only members of the distribution list receive the email report. All mail distribution lists created in the Back Office are available for selection. See Understanding mail distribution list for detailed information. If you would like to create a new distribution list, enter the name in the entry field and select the checkmark button. The New mail distribution list window will appear where you can enter Names and email addresses.
Invoke a HTTP end-point A HTTP service is linked to a rule. The webhook endpoint is defined in the second option. New webhook endpoint Defines the HTTP callback. All webhook endpoints created in the Back Office are available for selection. See Understanding webhooks for detailed information. If you would like to create a new web link, enter the name of the web link in the entry field and select the checkmark button. The New webhook endpoint window will appear where you can enter the Name and URL.
