Understanding reporting automation

Reporting automation allows you to select up to five Back Office reports to be automatically sent to one or more email recipients. Reports can be sent daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, depending on your business needs. 

  1. Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed credentials.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Configuration > Settings > Reporting automation.
  3. Click Create one now or Add a new report.
  4. Choose a report from the Report to generate dropdown menu.
  5. Select when to generate the report: at the end of the day, week, month, or year.
  6. (Optional) If a report is available in multiple formats, select how to receive it: as a PDF, XLS, CSV, or TSV file.
  7. In the Send report to field, enter one or more email addresses. If entering multiple emails, separate them with commas.
  8. Repeat steps 3 - 7 to schedule additional reports.
  9. Click Save reports.
