Repeat Customer Favorites

Discover which of your menu items are popular with repeat customers. An item ordered multiple times by the same customer might perform well in a special promotion or serve as inspiration for new menu items.

Accessing the Repeat Customer Favorites report

  1. Sign in to your Advanced Insights dashboard.
  2. In the upper left corner, click the drop-down and select whether to run the report for a particular location or for All locations.
  3. In the main navigation menu, click Menu. On the Sales page, select the Most Popular tab.
  4. By default, the report displays data for the last 28 days. To choose a different time frame, click the drop-down in the upper right corner.  You can also click Custom to specify the time period using a calendar, but you cannot select a date range longer than three months.

Advanced Insights organizes your data in a bar graph, where you can view an item’s sales data, create roll ups, and view an item’s scorecard.

Filtering the report

  1. By default, the report displays items for all menu item categories. To filter for a specific category, click All categories and check each category.

The Repeat Customer Favorites table displays the Rank, Menu item, Popularity meter, and Index for your menu items over the course of the specified period of time. You can also click on an item's name to view its item scorecard.

Metric Description
Rank The item’s rank, based on the number of times repeat customers ordered it
Menu item Click on the menu item’s name to view the item’s scorecard.
Popularity meter How popular an item is relative to the other items on your menu.
Index A measure of the item's popularity.


Understanding the Repeat Customer Favorites table

The Repeat Customer Favorites table displays the Menu item, Category, Number sold, and % sold to repeat customers for your menu items over the course of the specified period of time. You can also click on an item's name to view its item scorecard.

Repeat Customer Favorites table columns

Column Description

Menu item

The name of the menu item. Click to view the item’s scorecard.

Category

The item’s category in your POS.

Number sold

The total number of times an item was sold during the specified time period.

% sold to repeat customers

Repeat customer sales as a percentage of an item's total sales. For example, if an item sells a total of 10 times and 3 of those sales are to a repeat customer, the column displays 30%.
