Lightspeed Live app

Beta disclaimer: At this time, Advanced Insights is available in public beta for Lightspeed Restaurant customers in North America. If you meet this criterion and want to help test this feature, contact your Sales Account Manager or Lightspeed Support.

Available on both iOS and Android devices, the Lightspeed Live app provides you with real-time analytics so that you can monitor your restaurant from anywhere. View sales and guest activity, communicate with your servers, contact customer support, and more.

Important:
An active internet connection is required to use the app.

Downloading Lightspeed Live for iOS

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap Search and search for Lightspeed Live.
  3. Tap Get to download the app.
  4. When the download finishes, tap Open to launch the app.

Downloading Lightspeed Live for Android

  1. Open the Google Play store.
  2. Tap Search and search for Lightspeed Live.
  3. Tap Install to download the app.
  4. When the download finishes, tap Open to launch the app.

Signing in to Lightspeed Live

After downloading the app, sign in with your K-Series Advanced Insights credentials.

  1. On the Welcome screen, tap Log in with K-Series.
  2. When the pop-up appears, tap Continue to allow Lightspeed to share your website and app data. The app will launch the Advanced Insights K-Series login screen.
  3. Enter your username and password. Tap Log in.
  4. Tap Let’s get started. Swipe through the tutorial and tap Got it.
  5. The app displays the Lightspeed Live Dashboard, which displays your sales data. You can tap the menu in the upper left corner to navigate to a different page in the app.

Viewing the Dashboard

View the Lightspeed Live Dashboard to monitor sales data from your restaurant. You can also view guest activity and voids, and compare totals by day, week, or year.           

  1. By default, the app displays data for today’s date. To select a different day, swipe right or left to view the adjacent days. You can also tap the date at the top of the app and choose a different day from the calendar view. The app only displays data for a single day.
  2. By default, the app displays the combined data for all of your locations. To switch between locations, tap the pin icon in the upper right corner and select another location.

Refreshing sales data

Use the pull-to-refresh gesture to view updated sales data.

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard.
  2. Place your finger on the screen, drag it down, and release.

Viewing Logbook

You can use the app to view your Logbook questions and write responses to your employees. 

To edit your Logbook questions, sign in to your Advanced Insights account from a desktop computer and follow the instructions on our Logbook article.

  1. Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner.
  2. Tap Leave a response below the Logbook question.
  3. Type your response and use “@” to tag an employee or coworker. Tap the send icon to send your message.
  4. Tap Next Question or the X icon in the upper left corner to leave Logbook.

Viewing Shift Notes

Contact your account manager for more information about Shift Notes.

Customizing Notifications and other Settings

View the Settings tab to manage miscellaneous app settings.

  1. Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. On the Settings page, you can tap to enable or disable notifications and dark mode. You can tap to clear the app cache and view the app’s Privacy Policy.
  4. To edit your business name or email, contact Lightspeed Support.
