I'd like a way for users to submit feature requests

Denise Nahas

You can add a topic like this one in your community. End users can add feature requests and describe their use cases. Other users can comment on the requests and vote for them. Product managers can review feature requests and provide feedback.

That's a fantastic idea, Denise! Allowing users to submit feature requests in the community is a great way to engage them. It creates a platform for end users to share their needs and use cases effectively. The ability for others to comment and vote on these requests can provide valuable insights into the most desired features. Product managers can then prioritize based on user feedback. Have you considered using a platform like it to streamline this feature request process?

It sounds like a feature request board or simple feedback form could really help you. I’ve had similar situations, and adding a lightweight form (even a Google Form or a basic HTML form with email notifications) made things much easier for users. If you want something more structured, tools like Canny or even a GitHub discussions page work well too. It really depends on how detailed you want the submissions to be and how you plan to track them afterward. In cases where people submit feedback about specific items kind of like when users compare different dishes on the Texas Roadhouse menu having a clear form helps organize everything neatly so nothing gets overlooked. I think this would be a very valuable addition because it creates a direct feedback loop between users and the product team. In my experience, many excellent ideas never reach developers simply because there is no structured place to collect them.

A good solution would be to include categories, voting, duplicate detection, and status labels such as “Under Review,” “Planned,” or “Implemented.” That helps users feel heard and also reduces repeated requests. I would also suggest encouraging users to explain real business use cases instead of only posting short feature ideas, because understanding the workflow behind a request often matters more than the feature itself.
