A connection code is a secure and unique credential used for logging in to the Lightspeed Restaurant POS app for the first time. Depending on your POS configuration and users, your business may need multiple connection codes.
Note that a connection code can be used for multiple devices, provided that they use the same device configuration. A connection code is needed only when logging in to the Lightspeed Restaurant app after the app is downloaded. If it’s the first time that the device is logging in to the Restaurant app, that device will also display on the Back Office.
Once a connection code is created in the Back Office, you can use it to connect to the Lightspeed Restaurant app. For more information on connecting your POS device to Lightspeed Restaurant, see Logging in to the POS (K) app.
