A connection code is used to connect the Restaurant POS app to your Lightspeed account. It's a secure and unique credential used to log in the first time the app is downloaded on a new device. Connection codes are created in the Back Office as either a numerical token or scannable QR code. Depending on your configurations and user permissions, your business might need multiple connection codes. Or, if your POS devices share the same configuration, then the same connection code could be used to activate all of them.
