Fulfilling orders from Order Anywhere

Before fulfilling orders

Before you begin fulfilling orders from Order Anywhere, make sure that:

  • Your POS device is online and connected to the internet.
  • A staff member is clocked in for work.
  • The assigned device configuration includes a designated printer for incoming orders.

Fulfilling online-paid orders

When online-paid orders are placed, they sync to the POS and a corresponding ticket is printed. Orders placed using Order Anywhere sync to the POS devices either immediately or at a later time, depending on the customer’s selection.

  • Table orders: Sync to the POS immediately after they are placed.
  • Pickup orders: Sync to the POS immediately if the customer selects Pick up as soon as possible, or at the selected pickup time minus your preparation time and a few additional minutes if the customer chooses a custom pickup time. For example, an order with pickup time of 5:30 PM and preparation time of 30 minutes would be sent to the POS around 4:54 PM.
  1. Open the Restaurant POS app.
  2. Tap Orders to view all open orders.
  3. Tap Pick up/Delivery to view all pick up and delivery orders.
  4. Prepare the order.
  5. Hand the order to the customer when they arrive to pick it up.

Fulfilling paid in-person orders

When paid in-person orders are placed, they sync to the POS and a corresponding ticket is printed.
Orders placed using Order Anywhere sync to the POS devices either immediately or at a later time, depending on the customer’s selection.

  • Table orders: Sync to the POS immediately after they are placed.
  • Pickup orders: Sync to the POS immediately if the customer selects Pick up as soon as possible, or at the selected pickup time minus your preparation time and a few additional minutes if the customer chooses a custom pickup time. For example, an order with pickup time of 5:30 PM and preparation time of 30 minutes would be sent to the POS around 4:54 PM.
  1. Open the Restaurant POS app.
  2. Tap Orders to view all open orders.
  3. Tap Pick up/Delivery to view all pick up and delivery orders.
  4. Select the Order Anywhere order and open it on the Register screen. You can distinguish an Order Anywhere order by its order code.The Pickup/Delivery screen of the Restaurant POS app with a finger pointing to the Order Anywhere order.

  6. Tap Confirm.The covers count pop-up page indicating that there are two covers at the table. A finger is pointing to the confirm button to confirm the number of covers.

  7. Prepare the order.
  8. Accept and process payment as usual.
  9. Hand the order to the customer when they arrive to pick it up.

Turning off online ordering

Disable Order Anywhere orders from syncing with your POS device by turning off online ordering directly through the Restaurant POS app. However, you can still manually enter orders that come from outside Order Anywhere. Consider turning off online ordering if your restaurant is dealing with high volumes of in-person customers, facing staffing shortages, or experiencing temporary technical issues.

  1. Open the Restaurant POS app.
  2. Tap the four dots on the navigation bar to open the Status Preview tab.
  3. From the status menu, tap the shopping bag icon.
  4. Click Disable online orders to turn off online orders.
  5. (Optional) Click Enable online orders to turn online orders back on.
