Creating Order Anywhere service profiles

Create and customize service profiles to enable and enhance the ordering experience for your customers. Depending on the profile you select, customers can order for pickup, at their table, or just browse your menu online.

About service profiles

The type of service profile you create sets the tone for how your customers will interact with Order Anywhere.

Order Anywhere profiles page

  • Pickup and delivery: Pickup and delivery profiles allow customers to place takeaway or pickup orders before coming to your restaurant. Customers can choose to pick up their order as soon as possible or schedule it for a later date or time.
  • Table: Table profiles allow customers to place dine-in orders at your restaurant.
  • Menu browsing: Menu browsing profiles combined with Scan and Pay allow customers to read your menu online through the Order Anywhere application, without placing an order.

Payments must be enabled in order for Payment settings to appear in ordering profiles.

Creating Pickup and delivery profiles

Pickup and delivery profiles allow customers to place takeaway or pickup orders before coming to your restaurant. Customers can choose to pick up their order as soon as possible or schedule it for a later date or time.

When creating a new Pickup and delivery profile, you'll be guided through the configuration process by a series of prompts. Once you've created your profile, these settings will also be available in the All settings tab of your profile.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, go to My profiles.
  3. Click Create profile.
  4. Select the Pickup and delivery tile.
  5. Click Next to begin the profile configuration process. From here, you'll be guided through a series of prompts.
  6. From the Profile basics page, fill in the appropriate information.
    • Profile name: Enter a name for the profile.
    • Menu: Select the menu that will be linked to this profile.
  7. Click Create.
  8. From the Order configuration page, fill in the appropriate information.

    • Average order prep time in minutes: Enter an estimation of the amount of time it takes for a given order will be ready. If you are also offering delivery, delivery estimate times will be added on top of this estimate.
    • Limit ordering ahead: Select how far in advance customers can place orders by clicking the amount of time (ASAP, same day only, or one to seven days ahead) from the drop-down menu. If Ordering ahead is enabled, customize time slots by adjusting time slot duration and orders per time slot settings.
        • Timeslot duration: Select the amount of time of each available ordering time slot.
        • Orders per time slot: Enter the amount of maximum orders to be accepted within each time slot.
    • Customer note: Toggle on to allow customers to add a custom note at checkout, for example if they'd like a specific modification.
    • Cutlery opt-in: Toggle on to allow customers to request cutlery.
  9. From the Pickup fulfillment page, fill in the appropriate information.

    • In-person payments: Toggle on to allow customers to pay in store at the time of pickup.
    • Curbside pickup: Toggle on to allow customers to have their orders delivered to their car.
    • Tip: Check the boxes corresponding to the predefined tip suggestions to allow customers to choose from these amounts.
  10. From the Delivery fulfillment page, fill in the appropriate information.

    • Off: Click Off to disable delivery services.
    • Delivery by my staff: Click Delivery by my staff to enable delivery services. You can create multiple delivery zones with customizable fees and minimum order requirements for each area.
      • Radius: Set the delivery area around your restaurant by entering the distance and selecting the unit of measurement, for example 5 km.
      • Custom shape: Draw a shape over the area you'd like to offer delivery.
      • Name: Choose a name for this delivery zone.
      • Color: Choose a color to represent your delivery zone.
      • Delivery fee: Enter a delivery fee.
      • Minimum order: Enter minimum order value to qualify for delivery.
      • Delivery estimate: Select the estimated amount of time it should take to complete a delivery.
    • Delivery via Uber direct: Click Delivery via Uber direct to use Uber delivery drivers to fulfill your online orders.
  11. From the Ordering hours page, fill in the appropriate information. By default, these hours are set as the same as your business. Edit the days and hours to override your restaurant's current business hours, allowing customers to order during a specific time frame. To add multiple online ordering shifts, click + button and edit the time accordingly.

  12. From the Let's review page, review your information to make sure all your details are complete and correct.
  13. Click Finish.

Creating Table profiles

Table profiles allow customers to place dine-in orders at your restaurant.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, go to My profiles.
  3. Click Create profile.
  4. Select the Table tile.
  5. Click Next.
  6. From the Profile basics page, fill in the appropriate information.
    • Profile name: Enter a name for the profile.
    • Menu: Select the menu that will be linked to this profile.
  7. Click Create. From here, you'll be redirected to the All settings page, where you'll be able to customize your profile.
  8. In the Profile details section, fill in the appropriate information.

    • Select order type: Select Table from the drop-down menu.
    • Menu to use with this profile: Select the menu that will be linked to this profile.
    • Set average time for food preparation (in minutes): Use the + and - buttons to indicate the amount of time it typically takes to prepare an order. Customers will see the average food preparation time on their device.
    • QR codes: Generate QR codes for customers to scan, view your menu, and place online orders.
    • Activate happy hour on this service profile: Toggle on to apply the happy hour configuration from your Lightspeed Restaurant POS to the order profile. Ensure your happy hour configuration (named "OA Happy Hour") is correctly set up in your K-Series Back Office. You can manage your happy hour schedule in the order profile configuration.
  9. In the Payment section, fill in the appropriate information
    • In-person payments: Toggle on to enable in-person payments and select which payment methods to offer. To edit which payment methods are offered, click Add and select your desired payment method from the menu.
  10. In the Checkout section, fill in the appropriate information.

    • Tipping: Allow customers to add a tip to their total. To edit which tipping options to offer customers, click Add and select your desired tipping percentages.
    • Customer contact information: Toggle on the contact fields to collect from your customers at checkout (email address, first name, last name, and phone number).
    • (Optional) Click the Set as required box next to an enabled contact field to require customers to provide their contact information before submitting their order.
  11. In the Ordering hours section, fill in the appropriate information.
    • Online ordering hours: Toggle on Online ordering hours to override your restaurant's current business hours and allow customers to place online orders during a specific time frame. Edit the days and hours you'd like to offer online ordering. To add multiple online ordering shifts, click + button and edit the time accordingly.
  12. Click Save.

Creating Menu browsing profiles

Menu browsing profiles combined with Scan and Pay allow customers to read your menu online through the Order Anywhere application, without placing an order.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, go to My profiles.
  3. Click Create profile.
  4. Select the Menu browsing tile.
  5. Click Next.
  6. From the Profile basics page, fill in the appropriate information.
    • Profile name: Enter a name for the profile.
    • Menu: Select the menu that will be linked to this profile.
  7. Click Create. From here, you'll be redirected to the All settings page, where you'll be able to customize your profile.
  8. In the Details section, fill in the appropriate information.

    • Select order type: Select Menu browsing from the drop-down menu.

  9. Click Save.

Sharing service profiles

After you've created and customized your service profiles, share them with your customers. The custom QR codes and link to your website allow customers to access your Order Anywhere page to place orders both inside and outside the restaurant or read through your menu as they plan their next visit.

Generating custom QR codes for your service profiles

Customers can conveniently place orders by scanning your service profile’s QR code using the camera on their mobile phone or tablet. Generate unique QR codes for your profile, print them, and add them to your menus or signs for easy access to your Order Anywhere page.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, go to My profiles.
  3. Click the name of the profile you want to generate QR codes for.
  4. Click Generate QR codes.

  5. Fill in the appropriate information according to the profile’s order type.
    • Arrange the QR code, header text, and logo: Select if you’d like the QR code to display vertically or horizontally.
    • Personalize the header text: Write the text you’d like displayed on your QR codes. For example, “Scan to browse, order, and pay!”
    • (Table and Menu browsing profiles only) Display the table number: Toggle on to display the table number.
    • Display the restaurant logo: Toggle on to display the restaurant logo.
    • Choose a font: Select your preferred font from the drop-down menu.
    • Choose a background color: Select your preferred background color from the available options.

  6. Click Next.
  7. Fill in the appropriate information according to the profile’s order type.
    • (Table and Menu browsing profiles only) Floor plan: Select the relevant floor plan to your QR codes.
    • Export settings: Select which file format you’d like to export your QR codes into.
    • Size: Select your preferred QR code size from the drop-down menu.
  8. Click Export.

  9. (Table and Menu browsing profiles only) Print the QR codes.
  10. Add the QR codes to their matching table, a physical takeaway menu, or on your website for customers to scan.

Locating the link to your website

Spread the word about online ordering by placing a custom button on your website or sharing the link to your website on social media.

  1. Log in to the Order Anywhere Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, go to My profiles.
  3. Click the name of an existing profile.
  4. Click the copy to clipboard button next the link to your website.

  5. Add the link to your website to customer-facing pages, such as physical menus or your social media.
