We currently support two Back Offices: the Back Office 2.0 (sidebar navigation) and the Console Back Office (top-level navigation).
This article applies to both Back Offices. When one Back Office differs from the other, the Console Back Office wording will be displayed in parentheses next to the Back Office 2.0 wording.
To use the new Back Office, click here and log in with your current Back Office credentials.
Accounting groups are categories that sort and apply shared settings to items. Accounting groups apply the same tax profile, accounting ID, statistic category, and production centers to each item in the group unless different settings are specified at the item level. For example, an accounting group called Alcoholic beverages could be set up to organize items containing alcohol into a single group with the same settings.
After adding an accounting group to the Back Office, you must assign items to it by selecting the group when creating new items or editing existing items. To view all items in an accounting group, go to Menu management > Accounting groups (Configuration > Items > Accounting groups) in the Back Office and select Items on an accounting group row.
