This article applies only to the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and Australia version of the Device Reports. If your business is located in North America, visit Device Reports (NOAM).
The Device Reports display sales data, including gross sales, taxes, type of payment used, and net results. These reports can be filtered to view different time periods, as well as sales data from specific groups like accounting groups and order profiles. You can also generate a PDF version of the report for offline use.
Accessing the Device Reports
Access the Device Reports from the Back Office.
- Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed Restaurant credentials.
- Select Reports > Reports from the navigation menu.
- Click Device Reports in the Sales Report section.
Filtering the Device Reports
Filtering the Device Reports allows you to view different time periods, as well as sales data based on device, accounting groups, statistic groups, and order profiles.
- Click the drop-down menu and calendar icon to change the report's time period.
- Choose from Day, Week, Month, Year, or Custom.
- Click the No filters drop-down to choose tag filters. These filters are based on any tags you've defined in the Back Office.
- Select Display report and Show devices filters to view specific information.
Display report
Without sales details: Use this filter to view a high-level overview of your sales for each device. This filter will only show you the total number of items sold and the total value of all items sold.
With details by accounting groups: Use this filter to view a high-level overview of your sales for each device, broken down by accounting group.
With details by statistic groups: Use this filter to view a high-level overview of your sales for each device, broken down by statistic group.
With details by order profile: Use this filter to view a high-level overview of your sales for each device, broken down by order profile.
Show devices
Where data is generated: Use this filter to view devices where orders are entered, regardless of whether they're active or passive.
Where data is stored: Use this filter to view only active devices.
Device Reports sections
Sales: The total number of items sold and the total value of all items sold. The line below it displays the total items discounted, and the value of all items discounted.
Gross result (Sales): The total values of sales with discounts removed.
Taxes: This section lists the types of tax your business uses and the total amount of all taxes taken. Beside each tax is the total sales with taxes excluded, the total sales with tax included, and the amount of each tax collected.
Takings: This section lists the types of payments used by your customers, the total number of receipts, and the total amount paid. These are further broken down by In, which is payments received, and Out, which covers refunds.
The Lightspeed Payments section will also show the total amount of gratuities, and the total takings less discounts and refunds but including gratuities.
Net result (Takings): The total value of sales including gratuities, but minus taxes, discounts, and refunds.
Offered: Items with a 100% discount.
Canceled: Items that have been refunded and voided.
