Understanding the Consolidated Product Reports views
The Consolidated Product Reports allow you to change your Display view so you can separate and highlight data according to your needs. Each view shows the total amount of items sold or offered, broken down by the number and value of items discounted, offered, removed from inventory, refunded, and sold.
Accounting view
The Accounting view displays an overview of products for a defined time period, sorted by accounting group. Accounting groups apply the same tax profile, accounting ID, statistic category, and production centers to each item in the group unless different settings are specified at the item level.
Order profiles
The Order profile view breaks down items by the order profile applied to the POS at the time of sale. Here you can determine which items are your top sellers for specific order types, such as dine-in or carry out, or during a scheduled menu change, such as happy hour.
Categorical
The Categorical view displays items sold or offered broken down by item category. Item categories allow you to label your accounting groups and items, allowing you to see a more detailed breakdown in your reports.
Accessing the product heatmap
The product heatmap allows you to see what days and times an item is the most popular. This can help you know when to order ingredients or see if certain promotions (such as happy hour) are impacting your sales.
The heatmap for an item displays when the item sold most, broken down by hour.
To see the product heatmap for an item:
- Click the name of the Accounting group, Order profile, or Category to expand the list of sold products.
- Click the graph icon beside the name of the item you want to inspect.
