Add notes to an order to quickly apply common instructions and communicate order details more consistently during service. You can select one or more pre-created notes or add a custom note. Notes can be assigned to an order, course, and seat. All notes appear on the KDS and printed order dockets. For pre-created notes, you can toggle off this print setting in the Back Office.
Add a note to an order
- From the Register screen, create a new order.

In the order summary section, tap Add notes.
- In the Manage notes pop-up, do either of the following:
- Select one or more pre-created notes.
- Tap Create note to add a custom note.
- Tap Save.
The number of notes appears in the order summary to show how many notes are assigned to the order.
Add a note to a course
- From the Register screen, create a new order in Table Service mode.
- Add items to a course.

In the order summary section, tap the three dots icon (More) to the right of the course.
- In the Course pop-up, tap Add to the right of Notes.
- In the Manage notes pop-up, do either of the following:
- Select one or more pre-created notes.
- Tap Create note to add a custom note.
- Tap Save.
A notes icon appears in the order summary to show the course has notes assigned to it.
Add a note to a seat
- From the Register screen, create a new order in Table Service mode.

In the order summary section, change the display mode to By seat.
- Add items to a seat.

Tap the three dots icon (More) to the right of the seat.
- In the Seat pop-up, tap Add to the right of Notes.
- In the Manage notes pop-up, do either of the following:
- Select one or more pre-created notes.
- Tap Create note to add a custom note.
- Tap Save.
A notes icon appears in the order summary to show the seat has notes assigned to it.
