Hi. How can we help?

What's New: November 2025 - KDS upgrades, easier Google reviews, staff performance insights, and more

From Back Office enhancements to POS updates and more, here’s what’s been added or improved.

Some features take effect automatically, but others require an update. To access everything new, update the Lightspeed Restaurant app via the App Store outside of business hours on all POS devices.

New

Spotlight of the month: Get more Google reviews

It’s now easy to sync your Google Business profile with Order Anywhere and invite guests to leave reviews, increasing your restaurant’s visibility and growing your online reputation.

How to set it up

  1. Log in to Order Anywhere.
  2. Click Integrations > Set up on the Google Business Profile tile.
  3. Log in with your Google account credentials.
  4. Select your Google Business Profile to link with Order Anywhere.

Once your accounts are linked, your business hours, holiday hours, phone number, address, and social media information will automatically sync from Order Anywhere to Google and customers will be able to access the new review link.

If you’ve already linked your Google Business profile with Order Anywhere, a review link for customers will now be available—no extra setup needed.

POS and KDS updates

Update

Undo KDS mistakes in seconds

Reduce errors and improve operational efficiency with our latest KDS update that removes the need to recreate tickets manually. After a ticket or an item is marked as completed, a new “Undo” button will appear for five seconds, making it quick and easy to recover any mistakes. Plus, each item marked “Completed” includes a restore option, allowing staff to bring it back to the previous status.

This feature will be activated by default for all KDS users, making it available automatically once your account receives the update.

Focus your KDS

New KDS filters ensure your team can only view relevant orders to their station. Filter by POS or floor, so teams can work faster and error-free in busy, multi-area restaurants.

This update introduces filters, allowing users to:

  • Filter incoming orders by POS (the POS that created the order).
  • Filter by floor (based on where the order is assigned).

How to set it up

  1. On the KDS browser, go to Settings.
  2. Find the section Filters.
  3. Choose one or both:
    • Filter by POS → select which POS devices’ orders to display.
    • Filter by Floor → select which floors’ orders to display.

You can also combine the above with other filters (e.g. routing, order type, status) for a fully customized view.

Prep and serve with precision

KDS now links items to seat numbers, reducing errors and ensuring every guest gets the right dish, without servers having to ask “who ordered this?”.
