Meal vouchers are an employee benefit in the form of a prepaid card that covers all or a portion of an employee's meal. These cards are regulated by Belgian legislation and have legal stipulations regarding when and how they can be used.

Lightspeed Restaurant supports the following meal voucher providers:

• Edenred
• Monizze
• Pluxee

To begin accepting meal vouchers through Lightspeed Payments, you will need to register your Lightspeed Payments account and terminal information with the meal voucher providers you plan to accept.

Creating new accounts with Edenred, Monizze, and Pluxee

If you do not have a current contract with these payment providers, you will first need to create an account before you can proceed.

You can create a new contract using the registration links below:

Linking Lightspeed Payments to your meal voucher account

Each processor will require you to register your account and payment terminal to accept meal voucher tickets.

If you have multiple locations, you may need to fill out the form for each location.

If you already have an active contract, you can update your account using the following links:

• Edenred form
• Monizze form
• Pluxee form

Once all required information has been submitted through the form, the payment processors will reach out to us to complete the integration. Once the setup is complete, we will notify you that you can begin processing meal vouchers through Lightspeed Payments.

Once the form has been submitted, it can take several weeks before the integration is fully activated.

Required information

Third-party processors may require additional information about your Lightspeed Payments account to register. This information can be found within your Back Office or the bottom of a Lightspeed Payments receipt.

• Your PSP ID will be formatted as ADYLS_ followed by your store’s Merchant ID (MID). For example, a PSP ID for store MID ST1000001 would be ADYLS_1000001.

  To find your Store MID:

  1. Log in to your Back Office.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Payment > Payment methods.
  3. Select Manage in the Lightspeed Payments banner.
  4. Click Advanced details to expand the field.

  5. Note the identifier number under Merchant ID.

     

• Your Mastercard MID can be found on the bottom of a Lightspeed Payments receipt after a Mastercard branded card has been used on a transaction, or requested directly from our Payments Support team.

  

• Your Visa MID can be found on the bottom of a Lightspeed Payments receipt after a Visa branded card has been used on a transaction, or requested directly from our Payments Support team.

Reporting meal voucher payments

Reporting options for meal vouchers will differ depending on the payment processor.

Edenred payments

Edenred payments are co-branded as Mastercard payments. They are reported and paid out through Lightspeed Payments, much like a regular payment.

Edenred transactions will appear as Mastercard in your Lightspeed Reports. For a detailed breakdown of your payment history, log in to your Edenred portal.

Pluxee and Monizze

Pluxee and Monizze transactions will be recorded and paid out separately from your Lightspeed Payments transactions.

Lightspeed processes and reports all meal voucher transactions so that Pluxee and Monizze can reimburse you directly. You can filter these transactions in the Lightspeed Payments payment report by the meal ticket payment type.

To see these payments,

1. Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed Restaurant credentials.
2. From the navigation menu, select Financial services.
3. Select the Payouts tab.
4. Click Filters to narrow your search results by Third party payout.
5. (Optional) To download your search results as a CSV, click Export.

Getting paid

How you are reimbursed for meal voucher transactions will depend on the payment processor.

Edenred

Edenred payments will be paid out as part of your standard payout through Lightspeed Payments.

Pluxee and Monizze

Transactions processed via your Lightspeed payment terminal are paid out directly by Pluxee or Monizze. Payouts for Pluxee and Monizze transactions are not included with the rest of your revenue in your standard Lightspeed payout.

FAQ

• No. Meal voucher transactions cannot be refunded.
• Edenred and Pluxee both support Apple and Google Pay. Monizze customers will need to install the Monizze app to use Monizze Pay with their mobile phone.
• No. Payments must be processed via contactless NFC.
