From Back Office enhancements to POS updates and more, here’s what’s been added or improved.
Some features take effect automatically, but others require an update. To access everything new, update the Lightspeed Restaurant app via the App Store outside of business hours on all POS devices.

Lightspeed and Google drive more bookings together, enabling restaurants to reach more diners with easy access to join a waitlist directly on their profile across Google Search and Maps.

Export and share AI insights
Lightspeed AI now lets you export business insights with just a few clicks. Download AI-generated tables as CSV files for further analysis, or export full or partial conversations as polished PDFs, complete with charts and responses, making it easier to collaborate with your team and share insights with stakeholders.
How to set it up
No setup required.
- Ask Lightspeed AI a question that returns a table or a chart (for example, "Show me my top-selling items from last week").
- Click the Export icon on the table to download it as a CSV.
- Use the PDF Export button to download the full chat history, charts, and messages.
KDS updates

Restore KDS stations in seconds
Recover Kitchen Display System stations faster after a reset or reconnection with automatic configuration restore. Simply select the station name, and KDS applies the latest saved settings, eliminating manual setup, reducing downtime, and getting your kitchen back up and running in just a few taps.
How to set it up
No manual setup is required. When a device is reset or reconnected, simply select the station name on the screen, and KDS will automatically apply the latest saved configuration.

Take control of your menu upsells
Menu Upsells gives you greater control over the items promoted in Order Anywhere. Override automated recommendations by removing dishes you don't want to feature or pinning high-margin items, daily specials or surplus stock. This helps you align upsells with your kitchen capacity, inventory levels and business goals.
How to set it up
- Navigate to your Back Office.
- Go to Menu > Menu Upsells.
- Review the active list of promoted items.
- Toggle off any items you wish to hide.
- Use the Add button to search for items and include new ones.
