Omniboost is a third-party service for syncing your sales data to a variety of accounting software like Xero, MYOB Business, and others. Connect both Lightspeed Restaurant and your accounting service to Omniboost's platform, Base, and Omniboost handles the rest.
Omniboost integration is intended for Lightspeed Restaurant customers in regions where native Lightspeed Accounting is unavailable. For pricing information, contact the Omniboost team directly through their website.

Setting up Omniboost
After you've signed up for Omniboost, you'll receive an email to begin setting up your account through their platform, Base. When you access Base for the first time, you'll be guided through the entire setup process, from creating an account to connecting Lightspeed Restaurant and your accounting software.
Creating an Omniboost account
First, you'll be asked to agree to Omniboost's terms and conditions. If you have any questions, contact your Omniboost agent for help.
Once you accept, you may be prompted to set up your account and log in:
- If integrating a single location: Enter your name, email address, and a password, then click the button to continue.
- If integrating multiple locations: Your Omniboost agent will have already created your account in advance.
Connecting Lightspeed Restaurant
With your Omniboost account created, log in to Base to authorize a connection with Lightspeed Restaurant. Omniboost will use this connection to obtain your sales data in order to transmit it to your accounting software.
- In Base, click Connect.
- Follow the instructions on the page.
- When prompted, sign in using Back Office credentials with owner or administrator permissions.
- Enable all OAuth Approval permissions, then click Authorize.
Connecting your accounting software
Next, you'll be prompted to connect your accounting software to Base. Base uses this connection to retrieve your chart of accounts and other financial details and also to sync your sales data.
You will need the login details for your accounting provider in order to complete this section. Ensure you have administrator or advisor credentials for your accounting software, as well as access to any required multi-factor authentication (MFA) devices. The steps you'll need to complete will depend on which specific accounting software you use. Base will guide you through this process.
Configuring integration settings
We recommend completing this section under the guidance of your bookkeeper or accountant to ensure your sales data is properly structured in your accounting system.
With everything connected, you'll be asked to configure some settings that will control how Lightspeed Restaurant and your accounting software work together. These settings will vary based on which accounting software you use, but you may see options related to tips, rounding, service charges, surcharges, and merchant fees.
Each required field is marked with an asterisk, and if you need more information, click the tooltip next to the field's name. Some settings you'll simply toggle on or off, while others will prompt you to select an account or cost center from your accounting software.
Mapping your accounts
We recommend completing this section under the guidance of your bookkeeper or accountant to ensure your sales data is properly structured in your accounting system.
Finally, you'll need to map various details of your Lightspeed Restaurant sales data to specific accounts in your accounting software. If supported by your accounting software, you'll also be able to enter line descriptions and categories or cost centers. This part is split into a few sections:
- Accounting categories: For each accounting group from Lightspeed Restaurant, select the corresponding ledger account from your accounting software.
- Payment methods: For each payment method from Lightspeed Restaurant, select the corresponding ledger account from your accounting software.
- Taxes: For each VAT or tax rate from Lightspeed Restaurant, select the corresponding tax code from your accounting software.
Once you’ve completed both Account mapping and Integration settings, it’ll notify Omniboost. After reviewing your data, an Omniboost developer will schedule a test to make sure your data syncs correctly. Omniboost will follow up with you to make sure the mapping is to your liking. Upon receiving confirmation, the integration will be set to Live, and your data will push daily at the set time.
