About Filtering Reports in Advanced Insights
After running an Advanced Insights report, you can filter your data or compare it for different time periods. Each report can be filtered by the type of sales or by date range. There may be additional filters available depending on the type of report generated.
Filtering by type of sales
Reports can be presented with totals for either Gross sales or Net sales. The Sales totals can also be filtered by Hourly, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly.
Hourly can be applied only to date ranges of 1 to 3 days.
- To filter your results, use the Sales drop-down and select Net sales or Gross sales.
- Use the Change interval drop-down and select Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
Filtering by date range
There are 3 ways of filtering the data by date ranges:
- Manual Entry
- Preselected Ranges
- Calendar Selection
Manual Entry
Enter the start and end dates of the desired range.
Preselected Ranges
There are seven date ranges preconfigured in a sidebar of the filter:
- Last 7 Days
- Today
- Yesterday
- This Week
- Last Week
- This Month
- Last Month
Click on any date range to automatically filter the data accordingly.
Calendar Selection
Date ranges can be selected by choosing the start and end dates in the calendar view. Navigate the calendar by using the arrows to move forward and backward through the months.
