Key feature of the month
With each round of updates, we highlight a key feature from our latest releases that delivers the biggest impact for our merchants.
Update
Easier tipping for customers
We’re all about making tipping easier for a smoother payment experience to help your staff earn more gratuity. These new settings can be activated in the Back Office > Configuration > Configurations under the Payments tab by enabling Show suggested tips.
- Suggested tips on receipts: Display tip suggestions as fixed amounts, percentages, or a combination of both based on a customizable threshold.
- Tip suggestion visibility: Decide whether to show tip suggestions on printed and digital receipts, on iPad or handheld POS stations when using Tap to Pay or Mobile Tap, or in both situations.
- Calculation of suggested tips: Choose independently whether tip suggestions are calculated before or after taxes, and before or after discounts.

We’ve improved the POS experience for you and your staff with updates to check splitting, discounts, and combos.

Update
Advanced check splitting for Lightspeed Tableside
It’s gotten easier to manage group payments from the bar, table, patio, or anywhere else in your venue on our handheld POS, Lightspeed Tableside.
Previously, advanced check splitting was only available on iPad. Now, you can use a mobile POS device to divide checks by seat or cover. One device in your staff’s pocket ensures a smoother, more streamlined payment experience that enhances operational efficiency and saves time for customers.
-
Update
Discounts by accounting group
Enjoy more control over your discounts and apply them faster on the POS.
In one tap, you can now apply a discount to all items within an accounting group while excluding other items from the discount. For example, you could configure a 10% discount that applies to the drinks on a check but does not affect the food items.

You and your team can now edit or change combo selections before the order is sent to the kitchen. Simply tap the pencil button and use the Review combo action to reveal the combo and make any changes.

You can now group identical items from all tickets into a consolidated items list. This allows your chefs to prepare items in batches, significantly reducing prep time and boosting kitchen efficiency.
The items list is located in the top-right corner of the main KDS screen. After opening the items list, you'll see the same items from the main screen displayed in a list format on the right.

But that's not all! We also released some new integrations specifically for hotels and fine dining restaurants.
