The Dashboard page in the Back Office summarizes important business activity in easy-to-read graphs and charts. This page also provides quick links to Lightspeed add-ons like Benchmarks and Trends, as well as links to the Help Center and the latest news and updates.

The Dashboard automatically loads after logging in to the Back Office, but you can also access it by clicking Home on the Back Office navigation menu.

Filter the Dashboard by using the filter buttons. Choose from Today, Yesterday, This week, This month, or This Year to access data from each time period.

Sales metrics

Use the bars and graphs in this section to view sales at a glance, including Sales metrics, Best sellers, and Top payment methods. The information will change depending on your filters.

Sales metrics

Use the Sales metrics to compare current sales to sales from the previous time period. The information will change depending on your filters.

• Today will compare to the same day the previous week.
• Yesterday will compare to the same day the previous week.
• This week will compare to the previous week.
• This month will compare to the previous month.
• This year will compare to the previous year.

Click the arrow (>) to be taken to the Sales summary page in the Back Office.

Gross sales: The total of all sales and services before discounts and taxes are removed for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Net sales: The total of all sales and services after discounts and taxes are removed for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Orders: The number of individual orders for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Order average: The average amount of each order for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Covers: The number of covers for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Cover average: The average spent per cover for the current day, compared to the previous time period.

Best sellers

Use Best sellers to view the gross sales and amount sold for the top-selling items on your menu for the current day.

Click the arrow (>) to be taken to the Products report in the Back Office.

Top payment methods

Use Top payment methods to view your customers' most used payment methods, broken down into the amount of gross sales and the percentage of customers who use that payment method.

Click the arrow (>) to be taken to the Sales summary page in the Back Office.

Lightspeed add-ons

The Lightspeed add-ons section provides quick links to information on add-on products like Benchmarks and Trends, Order Anywhere, KDS, and Lightspeed Capital.

Benchmarks and Trends is currently only available in North America, meaning the widget will only be visible to North American customers.
