Your business settings manage critical information about your business, such as your business name and details, your trade details, fiscal information and other basic settings that cover how your business works.
To access your business settings:
- Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed Restaurant credentials.
- From the navigation menu, select Business > Settings.
Managing your business details
Your business details are typically entered when you are first setting up your Lightspeed Restaurant Back Office. Depending on your user permissions, you can edit these details later as needed.
Ensure all information entered is accurate and complies with all applicable legislation in your region.
- Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed Restaurant credentials.

From the navigation menu, select Business > Settings.
- Fill in the appropriate information. These fields will vary based on your region and required fiscal reporting.
- Internal business name: Enter your business name, which is used internally and doesn't appear on receipts.
- Trade details: Enter your customer-facing name and address.
- Company details: Enter your legal entity name, address, and country, as well as the full name of your company contact person.
- Fiscal details: Enter your Tax or VAT number.
- Click Save.
Basic settings
Basic settings are optional settings that control time tracking and margin calculations.
- Log in to the Back Office with your Lightspeed Restaurant credentials.
- From the navigation menu, select Business > Settings.
- Click Basic settings.
- Enable or disable the following settings:
- Turn on time tracking: Toggle to enable clocking in and out and to track employee hours in your reporting.
- Include tax in cost price: Toggle to include tax as a part of your cost price when calculating margins in your reports.
- Click Save.
