Advanced Insights is currently available to Lightspeed Restaurant customers in North America, Australia, and New Zealand. To get access to this feature, contact your Sales Account Manager or Lightspeed Support.
When applied correctly, discounts can encourage customer loyalty and increase customer satisfaction. When applied indiscriminately, they can lower your profits. View this report to see if and when your employees apply discounts and comps (complementary sales).
Accessing the Discounts report
Advanced Insights organizes your server data in a bar graph and table. To get started, choose your location and time frame.

- At the top of the navigation menu, click the Locations drop-down and select a location. This report can only be viewed for a single location at a time.
- In the main navigation menu, click Servers. On the Servers page, select the Discounts tab.
- By default, the report displays the data for the last 28 days. To choose a different time frame, use the Calendar drop-down in the upper right corner.
You cannot select a custom time period for this report.
Understanding the Discounts bar graph
The Discounts bar graph is a visual representation of your discounts data over the specified period of time. After you filter your report, the bar graph your data in two colors: green represents comps and orange represents discounts.
- Discounts - Products offered at a reduced price.
- Comps - Products offered free of charge.
