Hi. How can we help?

Setting up the ELO I-Series 4 Touchscreen

KDS 2.0 is currently in beta. This feature is in development with regular updates.

The ELO I-Series 4 Touchscreen is a Lightspeed supported screen for the Kitchen Display System 2.0. Orders from the POS will be sent here to be displayed and prepared. Starting tickets, marking them as ready to collect, or pausing them can all be done simply by tapping on the screen.

What you'll need

To set up your touchscreen, you'll need:

  • ELO I-Series 4 Touchscreen
  • Power cable & adapter (included with your ELO I-Series 4)
  • LAN cable (not included, recommended)

Connecting the ELO I-Series 4 to your network

You'll need to connect your touchscreen to the network so that it can communicate with your KDS Hub to receive orders, updates, and send changes back to the network.

  1. Plug the power adapter into the DC IN port of the touchscreen and connect the cable to a power outlet.

  2. We strongly recommend using a LAN cable connected to the Ethernet port to connect to your local network. Kitchen equipment will interfere with your Wi-Fi signal.
  3. Power on the touchscreen.
  4. If you're connected to the network via the LAN cable (recommended), you'll go straight to the next step. If you wish to connect to your network via Wi-Fi, you'll be prompted to enter the network name and password.
  5. Select Enroll with GMS from the three options presented. This step will not be presented after a factory reset.
  6. Wait for system updates to complete.
  7. Tap Don't Copy when presented with the option to copy your data to the touchscreen.
  8. On the following steps, skip signing into Gmail and skip account setup.
  9. When presented with the Google Services screen, tap More then Accept.
  10. Skip setting a lock screen. At the confirmation prompt, tap Skip Anyway.
  11. Tap the Google icon to launch the browser.
  12. Skip the Google log-in

Your touchscreen is now ready to connect to the KDS Hub.

Connecting to your KDS Hub

You'll need to find the IP address of your KDS Hub to connect the touchscreen so they can communicate with each other.

  1. In the Lightspeed POS App on your KDS HUB, go to Settings > Kitchen Display System and take note of the IP Address listed.

  2. In the browser app on your ELO touchscreen, enter the IP address noted in the previous step. In the example above, you'd write:
    10.97.43.20
  3. Press Enter to access the KDS configuration homepage.
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the setup of your KDS screen.
